This blog, Townhouse Turnaround, is all about the renovation work I am doing to my 1872 townhouse in downtown Springfield, Massachusetts.
I bought the house in 2002 and have archived photos of a lot of the different things I’ve done. Will add them as time permits.
Also have lots of projects planned, and will do my best to document them here.

I really admire your courage and style…I grew up in an Edwardian house in Kansas…constantly under renovation…I think this is a truely admirable way to spend one’s life…and money…oh,the money…8>)
Thanks! I hope it won’t take my wholelife, but I do have friends with large old historic homes here in Springfield who’ve lived in their homes for ages and have never stopped tinkering. I asked one couple who have an amazing Queen Anne, “so how long did it take you to finish it?” and they said “we’ll let you know when we get there.” Eeek!
